The Finance Generation ("we") organizes an annual sports competition between accounting and auditing firms through this application. To make this possible, we process a number of participants' personal data. In this privacy policy we explain what data that is, why we collect it, and what rights you have.
Who is responsible?
The Finance Generation, Noordzeelaan 50, Zwolle, Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KVK) no. 86930303, is responsible for processing your data within this application. Questions? Contact us at sportchallenge@thefinancegeneration.nl.
What data do we collect?
- Your name and the firm you're affiliated with
- Email address, for signing in to the application
- Data about logged sports activities: activity type, duration, and date
- Proof photos you upload yourself with an activity
- Which colleagues from your firm you select as teammates when logging an activity, if you do so
Why do we collect this data?
- To correctly attribute your activities to you and your firm
- To make the leaderboard and points tally of the competition possible
- To be able to spot-check whether submitted activities match the uploaded proof photos
- To let you sign in via email
How long do we keep your data?
Data is kept for the duration of the competition, unless you request earlier deletion. After that, data is deleted or anonymized, unless we need it for a future edition of the competition — in which case we'll ask for your consent again.
Do we share data with others?
We don't share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. We do use technical service providers who make the application possible:
- A hosting provider, to keep the application running and store data
- An email service, to send sign-in links
These parties process data solely on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to view, correct, or delete your data. Contact us at sportchallenge@thefinancegeneration.nl to do so. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Cookies
This application uses one technically necessary cookie to keep you logged in during your visit. This cookie is required for the application to function and therefore does not require separate consent. We do not currently use cookies for advertising or for measuring visitor statistics.
